Mookite Jasper Incense Burner

A$50.00
Sold Out

Like unfurling, meandering lines of smoke these gently undulating steel wire incense burners are small sculptural pieces. Each holder is hand crafted from blackened steel wire, brass and carefully selected gem stones.

Designed to be functional art objects, they invite you to slow down and connect with your senses, allowing for the act of burning incense be a moment of beauty, quiet ritual and contemplation.

Each burner is unique and one-off. I am more than happy to take requests for customs designs, so please feel free to request a specific gemstone that is special to you, (I will do my best to source). As for the shape, and line work, please allow for the intuitive organic process of making to dictate the outcome.

Materials: Mookite (stone), brass, steel wire.

Scale: 10cm tall.

Available now and ready to ship.

NOTE: these burners are designed to hold standard sized incense sticks (wooden ends) and Japanese incense. The Brass holder has an inner diameter of approx 2.2mm, so won’t accommodate chunkier incense sticks, rope or cones.

The burners do not come with a catchment base, so be mindful of falling ash. If you’re worried about falling ash, I recommend placing your burner on a small tile or flat dish.

If the base of incense becomes stuck inside the brass tubing after burning, (this can sometimes happen with Japanese sticks), give it a gentle tap upside-down, or, if needed, you can use a pin to gently remove the unburnt residue.

Always burn incense in a well ventilated area and do not leave unattended.
